We’re thrilled to share the launch of Wild Streams – a new programme supporting women crofters in Scotland to grow their innovation in agriculture and enterprise.
Led by the Scottish Crofting Federation in partnership with NICRE, Wild Streams offers coaching, peer support and networking for a dynamic group of women crofters. The name was chosen by the women themselves, capturing both their resilience and the winding, often unpredictable paths of rural innovation.
The network was first formed through the GRASS CEILING research project, funded by Horizon Europe, to understand and support women innovators in agriculture. With continued backing from the Scottish Government, this new phase marks a shift from research to action – creating a peer-led business network with ambitions to influence policy, champion women’s innovation, and foster rural enterprise.
We’re proud to support this inspiring community of crofting women and can’t wait to get started.
