The National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE) is recruiting a business engagement officer for the South West of England to help unlock the potential in the rural economy.
Based at founding university partner the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI), the role is to work closely with rural business organisations to forge greater links with the research and policy work of the team.
The position will support the setting up, delivery, and dissemination of NICRE projects and initiatives, including innovation projects, policy reports and engagement events, as well as regularly liaise with key national and regional stakeholders for rural businesses and communities.
NICRE Co-director Janet Dwyer, Professor of Rural Policy at the CCRI, said: “We are really pleased to offer this opportunity to join our team in the South West.
“Our engagement with rural business organisations and stakeholders is key to our aim of putting knowledge to work for an enterprising countryside by combining research and practical innovation.
“The varied role would be ideally suited to someone who has previous experience of business engagement and networking, as well as a keen interest in rural entrepreneurship and rural businesses.
