Overview
The North East Coastal and Rural Taskforce is helping to lead the way in how the UK supports its coastal and rural communities.
The Taskforce is led by the North East Combined Authority (CA). NICRE serves as its Secretariat, helping bring people, evidence and ideas together to improve policy for coastal and rural communities across the North East and beyond.
The Taskforce brings together national government agencies, local partners, and regional bodies to shape new solutions to the challenges and opportunities facing our coast and countryside. It aims to apply a coastal and rural lens to regional and national policymaking and create the conditions for all places to thrive.
