Shaping solutions that help coastal and rural communities thrive
Solution Sessions are a way for the Taskforce to explore key issues with partners from different sectors and communities and develop practical models and recommendations that can inform future policy and investment.
For 2026/7, the Taskforce has identified six priority topics to tackle through solution sessions:
- Strengthening coastal communities
- Increasing community resilience to climate events
- Supporting upland and tenant farming futures
- What place-based working means in dispersed communities
- Building employability and skills and tackling health-related economic inactivity in coastal and rural communities
- Nature recovery: turning plans into action
