Shaping solutions that help coastal and rural communities thrive

Solution Sessions are a way for the Taskforce to explore key issues with partners from different sectors and communities and develop practical models and recommendations that can inform future policy and investment.

For 2026/7, the Taskforce has identified six priority topics to tackle through solution sessions:

  • Strengthening coastal communities
  • Increasing community resilience to climate events
  • Supporting upland and tenant farming futures
  • What place-based working means in dispersed communities
  • Building employability and skills and tackling health-related economic inactivity in coastal and rural communities
  • Nature recovery: turning plans into action

If you are interested in being kept updated about future solution sessions or contributing to any of the topics, please get in touch
