Community Spaces Partnership Funding Model

Investing in community spaces

The Community Spaces Partnership (CSP) is an innovative model of investing in community projects, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

The CSP is commissioning capital investment to at least 25 community spaces across Northumberland, Durham and Cumbria, to achieve long-term sustainability and Net Zero improvements, while supporting these communities to address barriers.

The term ‘community spaces’ reflects village halls, community centres, welfare halls and any other community-used space with relevant governance in place to manage capital projects.

To achieve this, funding is administered by three local rural advocacy organisations, Community Action Northumberland (CAN), Durham Community Action (DCA) and ACTion with Communities in Cumbria (ACT).
